The Internet has been, and is still known as, the information superhighway. The amazing technology that continues to grow daily brings forth more and more options for each individual consumer.
There are numerous web browsers available now that were not around a few years back. This again, gives more control over choices to the consumer. A fairly new web browser that is steadily moving to a top contender is Google Chrome. It is available for Windows Vista, and for XP. The hope is to have it compatible soon for the Apple Mac and the Linux here in the near future.
Google Chrome is extremely user friendly. It is an ideal browser for individuals that are not necessarily “tech” savvy. It walks you through the installation process effectively and easily. Some of the many benefits with this are that Chrome imports all your bookmarks from any other web browser you have used on the computer you are currently installing Chrome on. Not sure if anyone checked this out, but Google Chrome is very fast while using online tools like Google Analytics, Webmasters and KISSinsights, and what not.
It also conveniently transfers any passwords and other settings that you may have set on the browsers such as Firefox or Internet Explorer. If you are like most and always in a hurry, it will also populate fields for you to speed your process up (such as name, address, phone number, etc).
Google Chrome has a simple layout. It does not have lots of distracting text or graphics that can cause confusion and frustration. It also has the ability to allow you to browse sites privately, also known as incognito. It will thumbnail any images of the sites you visit most to streamline when you go to visit them again. Updates are easily downloaded. Google has always been benchmarked as one of the best research browsers, so it only makes sense that their own browser is a tool that should be reckoned with.
Looking ahead is Google Chrome 8. A sneak peek is it will have a built-in PDF reader, and even higher speed capability.
