Here are five web browsers that are worth trying:
1. Firefox
Voted as the best overall browser, FireFox comes as one of the most recommended of all browsers. It’s compatible with Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems. Multiple reviews suggest that FireFox is improving over time as new plugins and extensions are created for additional web browsing functionality.
2. Flock 2
For an enhanced FireFox browser, consider Flock 2, a browser that is currently in its Beta phase. This is ideal for people who frequent the web because it offers all of the options, speed and security features of FireFox. It also adds in additional capabilities including a blog editor, a photo uploader and a sidebar that helps to keep current updates with your social networking profiles.
3. Google Chrome
For a fast browser that runs well on nearly every computer, the recommended browser is Google Chrome. It is stripped down to create fast browsing capabilities and simplicity, which is a stark contrast in comparison to FireFox and related browsers. Chrome also works well in conjunction with other Google web apps, including Google desktop.
4. Opera 9.5
If you have an older computer, then Opera 9.5 is probably the browser that you are going to want to use. It is free to use and can be learned fairly quickly, especially for older computers or underpowered computers that cannot handle extension-rich FireFox and similar browsing platforms.
5. Internet Explorer 8
If you absolutely must go with Internet Explorer, then go with the newest incarnation, which is Internet Explorer 8. If you do not want to switch to another browser, then you should definitely upgrade to 8 at the very least.
